POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Accountant is in charge of assisting the Accounting Manager with reviewing the work of Bookkeepers and with closing the Organization’s monthly books. In addition the Senior Accountant is in charge of partnership financial reporting. Starting at $70,400.

ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee all partnership financial reporting to investors and lenders
- Work with auditor to ensure timely partnership audit and tax return preparation
- Prepare quarterly budget variance analysis for all partnerships
- Prepare construction draws
- Review accounts payable coding by Bookkeeper
- Assist Accounting Manager with journal entry preparation
- Assist with various other accounting functions
- Work closely with the Accounting Manager on special projects
SKILLS
- Yardi experience preferred
- Multi-family real estate experience preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
- Good verbal and written skills
- Good organizational skills
- Self-motivated and hard worker
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to effectively manage and mentor staff
- Reliable
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 4 Year Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Equivalent preferred
- 3 to 4 years of relevant job experience preferred
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No supervisory responsibility
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires the ability to sit and use office equipment and computers for the majority of the workday. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The essential responsibilities of this position are performed in a busy office environment. This position must be able to keep focused in an environment with many interruptions and distractions.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Occasional car travel, primarily in Santa Monica to visit properties in the CCSM portfolio.
Must possess and maintain a valid California driver’s license, insurance as required by law and an acceptable driving record.
